Last Day of November

Everyone keeps telling me how big Caleb already looks. I think that because I see him everyday it's harder for me to notice it. But as I look back at all the pictures from the last couple of weeks, I can definitely see his face getting plumper! I can't wait to see how he changes as he gets older. I am loving this stage right now though, so I hope it doesn't happen too fast.

Capps Look-alike Meter

A couple of my friends did this look-alike meter awhile back and I wanted to try it out. I tried a few different pictures and they both said Caleb was a good mix of both of us. This is the only picture that said he looked more like Shawn :o)

2 Weeks Old

Today is Caleb's 2 week birthday. It's hard to believe that just 2 weeks ago he wasn't here. It really is! I almost can't remember what my life was like without him in it!

It was 65 degrees here today, so we got to go out for a walk. I was afraid he would be cold, so I bundled him up...I think I bundled him up way too much though. By the time we got back to the house, I opened up his blanket so he could breathe :o)

We helped him find his thumb since he doesn't really like his pacifier. He didn't suck on it for very long....he would rather suck on the real thing! :o)

I can't figure out if Wrigley's still not sure about Caleb or if he's just upset he's not the center of attention anymore. I think it could be both.

I got a few preemie outfits at Caleb's baby shower.....as you can see he's sporting the 3/4 sleeve look.

We all needed a nap after eating Thanksgiving dinner.

Thanksgiving Eve

I do not want to brag (or jinx myself :o) but Caleb is an exceptionally good baby! He is only waking up once during the middle of the night to eat and he only cries when he's hungry or needs his diaper changed. He is starting to stay awake and look around alot more. My favorite thing is that random smile when he's asleep! I can't wait until he smiles because he's happy...not because he has gas :o) I left him with my mom today when I ran out to the post office and to pick up his birth certificate downtown. I'm sure it was easy to leave him because it was with my mom, but I hope I am one of those moms who can leave their kids to take time for themselves. I think I'm going to take advantage of having my mom here for another week and get my hair done next week!

My mom, Caleb and I went to our squadron's Thanksgiving potluck yesterday afternoon and I decided it would be a good time to give Caleb his first wipe down. I think that since I couldn't put him in the bathtub yet, he was cold sitting out there naked the whole time. But for the most part he did really well.

Here's his Thanksgiving outfit. He has a cute little "Baby's First Thanksgiving" bib, but it took up his whole body, so he didn't wear it. It's funny how you can put a real outfit on him and he instantly looks grown up :o)

Caleb's Birthday

As you all know, last Friday was Caleb's birthday and I wanted to show a few pictures from that day. Since Uncle Cody told me that he didn't want to see any more "gross" pictures, I won't put any of those on here :o) You can see the VTC we got to have with Shawn, which I cannot say enough how awesome that was for us!

I love the smile daddy has on his face here as he looks at Caleb! It brings tears to my eyes everytime I see it. Four months is still far away, but I cannot wait for him to finally hold his son. That will be an emotional day, I'm sure.

Caleb's First Week

This may sound funny, but Caleb's first week has flown by! He is such a good baby and we love him so much! We are truly blessed!

Could this be sensory overload?!!

It actually snowed here today! Can you believe it? I was so excited and had to take Wrigley out for a minute.

The grandparents, minus my mom, left this afternoon. It was so great to have them spend this entire week with Caleb and myself! I think that it's definitely going to be hard to not be close to family. I am excited to go home in a month so that the whole family can meet him.
