As usual, the beaches here do not disappoint.  The kids had come here with their summer camp, but we had never been there.  We were told the tide pools were pretty awesome, so we checked the tides and headed out after breakfast.
(Photos in no particular order)

 Do you see the fish?
Do you see it now?  I'm not exactly sure what it is.

Turning over rocks to find crabs.

I spotted this guy that swam like a butterfly through the water.  We looked it up later and it is a type of sea slug called a Spanish Shawl.  I took a video you can see on my Facebook page.  It was really cool!

Saturday was Caleb's last day of soccer.  His team won their first game, so we had to come back to play later that afternoon.
 The Bulls won the Championship!

The kids were on a "nice" kick and had a sleepover every night since Thursday.
Sunday after church, we headed to Malibu for a hike.  It was a great 3.2 roundtrip hike, with plenty of shade (we even got really cold).

We didn't make it all the way up to the peak, but we were only a few feet away.

It was a great hike and I'm glad we found it!  You will be seeing a family photo from this hike soon....hence the red and green attire :o)
