TODAY I AM 11 MONTHS OLD!!

My hair is getting longer and stringier.

I still only have my bottom two teeth (but the top ones are close).

I have way too much slobber for one little girl.

I am pulling up at everything, but still not standing on my own.

I jibber-jabber all the time.

I shake my head "no no no" (and sometimes "yes").

I wave hi and bye.

I have a little bit of a temper.

Everyone always tells me I'm so smiley.

This is my signature wrinkled nose grin.

In one month I will be one year old!

Mommy...Daddy, come look! Look at me!

This is what Caleb kept saying as he was hanging up ornaments.

These are fun to play with.

What, I didn't do anything:o)

Amelia's First Christmas.

Thanksgiving 2011

Our past Thanksgivings have been busy with lots of family coming to visit. This year was much more laid back, but we didn't skimp on the food. We still made all of the favorites and had plenty of left overs. We didn't even get out of our pajamas while cooking, eating, cleaning and lounging.

Amelia ate way more than Caleb ate and she was loving every bite!

Later on in the evening, we went to our friends' Mike and Averi's house for dessert.

This morning we headed out to drive Highway 20, where in the winter months, it has been said you will see hundreds of bald eagles. We didn't see hundreds, but we did see quite a few in the trees. The drive is right next to the Skagit River, which stands out against the bright green mossy trees.

This is where we saw the first eagle. You can tell how excited Caleb is:o)

I bet you didn't realize how accurate this sign could be...

We're pretty sure this rock slide happened just before we passed it.

Here's Shawn out moving some of the smaller pieces so we could pass by.

We couldn't get up the road much more (without 4 wheel drive), so we decided to stop here and get out to play in the snow a bit.

Caleb's throwing snowballs into the water below.

Shawn and I bought each other snow shoes for Christmas, so we tried those out as well.

We were trying to get Caleb to walk in his snow shoes to meet up with Dad and Grandma.

It may be cold and it may be rainy, and it may have been a long drive in the car with crying, whining babies, but I will never get tired of sightseeing in the place. It is absolutely beautiful and I love it! I am so thankful we got the opportunity to come back to Whidbey Island!

Seattle and The Grannies

Sunday, November 20, 2011

We picked up Shawn's parents in Seattle on Friday and Saturday we hit the streets of Seattle. We passed by the Space Needle to catch the Monorail that takes us to Pike's Market.

The fruit and veggies were just too good to pass up. We got some honey crisp apples, pears, blackberries, and brussel sprouts.

It was a little chillier than we expected (30 degrees!). Luckily we bought Amelia a new winter coat the day before.

She must have been warm enough to fall asleep.

Caleb, however, was frozen into a zomblie-like state most of the day.

So sweet!

I don't know about you, but I wish my phone took better pictures so this cute little thumb sucker wasn't so blurry. Thankfully, as of Friday, I will have my camera back, with a new lens to boot! I feel like I need to take a ton of pictures to make up for lost time......so get ready:o)

3 Year Check Up

at Wednesday, November 16, 2011

We went to the doctor yesterday for Caleb's 3 year check up. He now weighs 37.3 pounds and is 39 inches tall. He is feeling much better after Monday's stomach bug and after a few more birthday presents, he is ready to play in the snow!
