Chasing after Wrigley gets me all tripped up....and mom just laughs!
HAIR it is
Thursday, July 30, 2009
I can't take it anymore. I know that most moms cut their hair once they have kids. I remember Shawn asking me not to do this when I was pregnant. I thought long hair would be better in the summer months because I could pull it up. All I know is that it's stringy, frizzy (you know we have 100% most of the time), takes forever to dry and straighten and I'm tired of messing with it. Do you all remember Jennifer Aniston's short hair? My problem is, I probably won't look like her even if I do get my hair like this.
And this J.Lo cut is cute too....
What about Sandra Bullock?
All I know is that this messy bun look I am sporting these days, is cute if you're 20....but not 31!
Here's the new do!
Our Weekend
Sunday, July 26, 2009
Everyone keeps inquiring and wondering if the time has come.
We too keep wondering, "Is this the day? Is this the week? Is this the month"?
Well......we finally have good news!!!
Caleb got his first tooth on Saturday!!!! (You can kinda see it just to the right of Shawn's finger)
What did you think I was going to say??!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!
On Saturday we went to a Christian concert with 4 bands. The camp where they had it was great! It was an extremely hot day. So muggy everything was sticking to you. We were sweating ridiculously. But, we got to enjoy all the music from under huge shade trees with a pretty good breeze blowing off the water.
It's Sunday now and Shawn's work week begins, so he's off. We tried church, but Caleb's still having no part of the nursery or being away from us. I hope he figures this out soon. I made breakfast for dinner for a family in our Sunday school class, so we're off to deliver that. Maybe I can relax a bit tonight.........you haven't seen my house!! No rest for the weary.

Coolin' Off
Tuesday, July 21, 2009
Mom said we had to go outside and play since it was so nice. Little did I know, she was fillin' up that baby pool!
I guess if I don't like it, I can just climb right out.
Hey, this isn't so bad after all!
I'm gonna get you!
Kisses for you, mom! Thanks for the swim today!
This grass isn't so soft on my bare bottom. All for the sake of cute pictures is what she tells me.
All dry...now for a nap.
On My Own
Saturday, July 18, 2009
This letting Caleb feed himself thing is going to be messy, isn't it?
Looks like he's going to like it though!
I love how he doesn't even realize all the pieces are on the other side of his hand.
Happy Birthday, Shawn!

Cleaning Bug
Every so often, I get that itch....the itch to clean the whole house. To change things around. To buy things for the house. So, I'll put off changing things around or buying things, for now. But I can clean things. I went thru a ton of paperwork today and filed it all in it's correct place. Then I moved to putting all of Caleb's clean clothes away.....then it became truly evident that I HAD to clean out his closet. There are clothes that haven't fit him for a long time in there. There are bags full of stuff, that is still too big for him, that are in gift bags....blankets galore....and just stuff. That's my project for today. And Caleb's helping.
Just Another Beach Day
Saturday, July 11, 2009
We tagged along...again...with some friends on their boat today. It was a perfect day for it! For some reason we have had unseasonably cool weather this past week and I think we'll be saying goodbye to cool and hello to hot once again in the coming week. I think that the beach is going to be alot more fun now that Caleb can sit up and get around.........then again, that just means we're telling him to get his sandy hands out of his mouth, to stay out of that, to put that down...........ahh, the joys of parenthood at the beach. We were prepared this weekend though. We now have proper beach toys. We saw the wild horses again too. It amazes me how close they let people get to them.
We also bought a small tent in hopes Caleb would take a nap inside of it.......notice I said "in hopes". Maybe after we use it a few more times he'll be used to it.
And since everyone always says that they love (and want to see more) videos of Caleb, here's a short one of him playing in the sand.
