sneaky little guy

No wonder Wrigley is always trying to sneak his way into the kitchen when Caleb's eating.
Cinnamon Teddy Grahams. Yum!
Wrigley has a funny way of clicking around the house all day long and then putting on his "sneaky shoes" as we call it. I don't know how he does it, but he always manages to sneak under the table so that we can't hear him.
(And while I usually scream at Wrigley to get out of the kitchen, Caleb was giggling way too much and I just had to get it on video - THIS ONE TIME ONLY!)

Yesterday, Caleb handed me his cow and said Mmmmmmm. At first I didn't get it, but then I realized he was trying to say moo! He's so smart:o)

Shawn finished staining the toy box and we finally got to bring it into Caleb's room tonight.
And just when I thought we had way too many toys for it.....I realized it's way bigger than I thought! BUT, that doesn't mean go out and buy him more toys! He has enough all ready!

Get me out of this thing!!

These were taken two days ago, when the sun was shining, the air was 25 degrees warmer, no runny nose, no cough, no teeth trying to pop through, no fussiness.....you get my drift. Dad's doing the guy thing tonight and taking a boat through Catfish Lake to a cabin filled with men, food, and guns (if they don't end up having to fly tomorrow). Mom will most likely curl up on the couch and relax with a book or a movie.

My friend Kelli informed me on her blog of this cute little shop on Etsy who is donating 100% of their proceeds tomorrow, Thursday, January 21st. Here is a peek at what they offer. It is a great way to donate a little something to the relief efforts in Haiti all while getting a few cute thing for yourself.

Also, if you have never checked out Etsy.com, it is well worth it. It may take you all day just to play around on it, but you will find some great items!

Welcome to our shop! We're thrilled to have you here!***This Thursday, January 21st, we are hosting a fundraiser for relief efforts in Haiti called, "Our Drop in the Bucket." 100% of earnings from stationary and valentine sales on that day will be donated to relief efforts in Haiti!***Our Kojo Card of the Month is now available for a limited time for just $1.50 (with free shipping if you order anything else!).Come visit our blog as well- www.kojodesigns.blogspot.com.

Today was absolutely beautiful! And what made it even better was that dad had the day off. We decided to get outside and take a walk.

Sorry, Charlie....the drawers are now locked!

I tried to let him play in the bottow drawer, which is all of his stuff anyway, but I'm way too much of a neat-freak and I was tired of him dragging everything out into the kitchen and living room everyday. He'll be alright after a few days of getting his hand stuck in it:o)

Caleb's sick face

Wednesday, January 13, 2010

Caleb was up all night screaming, twisting, flipping, pulling on his ear, screaming some more.....he and I only got about 5 hours of sleep and that wasn't all at one time. We saw the doctor this morning and confirmed that he has an ear infection. We both took naps when we got home and I'm hoping he can rest better tonight.

Back to the same old thing

Tuesday, January 12, 2010

Well, we've settled back into our normal routine after the holidays. When you're home and have a million things to do and people to see, you think you want to just relax at home....but then you get home and you (at least me) are looking for things to do. Luckily we have a long weekend since it's Martin Luther King day and we are planning on installing child locks on all the drawers now and staining Caleb's toy box.......exciting I know! So, since we're not doing anything exciting, I have no exciting pictures to post. Here's Caleb's new friend. He didn't like it too much though. And he's also become "Linus" since we've been home. He drags blankets, clothes, towels, whatever he can get his hands on, behind him everywhere he goes.

West Baden Springs

Saturday, January 9, 2010

While we were home Shawn and I got to go spend a night alone! We traveled to French Lick, IN (a couple of hours away from home) to the newly remodeled West Baden Springs Hotel. We were there, we think, in 2000 while they were in the remodel stage. It was a disater and to see it now, it's gorgeous. It's definitely worth the drive (and the money) to go spend the night or the weekend there.
