Thursday afternoon, we arrived in Pigeon Forge.
This was our cabin for the weekend.

Thursday night, Jennifer and Cory did a gender reveal. She made up little cards with scratch offs.
We all chose which color lemonade we though the baby would be.

Then, once everyone had their drink, we scratched off what we thought. I picked boy, but it said, "Better luck next time".

Friday morning, we all kind of went our own way. We chose to go on a 2.6 mile hike to Laurel Falls.

We bought bear spray at REI the morning before, but didn't take it with us on this hike. After reading some review yesterday, it looks like we should have taken it with us. There are around 1500 black bears in this forest and it says they are frequently seen on this trail! Luckily, we didn't come across any that day.

After our hike, we headed to the community pool to cool off. Everybody relaxing after our busy day.

While we were missing some family and there are lingering medical issues that affect us all and we are anxiously awaiting new babies, this trip was awesome! I truly hope we can make this a yearly tradition, because it isn't often that we can all be together. One weekend a year just isn't enough, but I hope it becomes a priority!
