Friday, after the kids got out of school (half day), we headed to the campsite. We hung out and played until Shawn got off work. Some of our Life Group friends came to eat dinner with us that night, which was a good time.
Saturday morning, we got up bright and early in order to get to Caleb's soccer game first.
This year, they actually have a referee and a goalie.
Amelia's soccer game was next.
There was lots of running around and giggling. Amelia whistled the entire time she was out there, which was pretty funny. As with girls, you will have lots of cheering, Go Chipmunks, from the bench.
After that, we headed back to the campsite and we headed down to the beach to put our feet in the water.
Which, as I'm sure you can imagine, lead to a lot more than just their feet getting wet.
Then it was back to play in the campfire.
We're not sure what these plants are, but they had really bright purple berries on them.
Getting in trouble in the hammock. Swinging each other so hard they were about to fall out. Then Amelia climbed in with Caleb, and fell out backwards onto her back. Not too much later they were running on the trail just behind the hammock and Amelia totally didn't pay attention and ran right into the hammock, which knocked her on her back again.

Playing in Wrigley's bed. I'm pretty sure Wrigley wished she would just leave him alone.
Playing in the fire some more.
Sunday morning, we lazied around a bit. Amelia and Caleb found a lot of roly poles. It's probably a family.
We took a hike before we packed everything up to go home.
Shawn said, I don't know where we got that shirt (the Colts one), but it's just about the cutest thing ever!

The kids wish we could stay there for 4 days, or a week, or forever. I said if we stayed camping forever it wouldn't be there. To which the kids say, yah, it wish we could go back to Washington or Canada. I'd say we've go these kids trained right! We're all a lot happier in the woods, with no TV, no Kindle, no phones, no other commitments. Someday…….maybe.
