Swinging

The batteries in the swing weren't really working, but Amelia figured out she could swing herself. She was having so much fun.

Today I Am 10 Months Old!!

I have gone from crawling to crawling fast!

I say mama, dada, Wrigley - still working on Caleb.

I have two bottom teeth.

I will throw tantrums when something upsets me.

I have a funny, wrinkled nose grin.

I dance when I hear music.

I get to dress up for my first Halloween even tonight.

Saunday

Sunday, October 23, 2011

What have I been up to today?

A whole lot of playing in my toys.

Playing with Caleb's daddy doll....I need one of my own, mom!

And a whole lot of crawling and getting into things I'm not supposed to. That's right, I am crawling all over the place now.
I guess I need to start babyproofing this house:o)

Craft For Mom

at Friday, October 21, 2011

Friday, October 21, 2011

I finally gave in to the Pinterest craze! Well, kind of. I got on it to look for ideas for Caleb's birthday party and it's a pretty cool website. I see how it could get addicting. I decided to do a really cool craft with Caleb that I saw my friend Kelli do with her kids after she posted it on her blog. Last night after Caleb went to bed, I got all the crayons glued onto the canvas, so today all we'd have to do is melt them. I got a sheet out to protect the floor and wall and we were ready to go. Caleb's room is red and blue, so I decided to do two canvases that we could hang up in his room.

I turned on the hairdryer and tried to get Caleb excited about melting crayons........and this was all I got.

He was completely disinterested! He could have cared less. All he said was, "My crayons!!!" Said in an upset manner as if I would steal his crayons for this. So, he went and got his crayons and paper and colored on another side of the room. I decided to go ahead with the project on my own.

The blue one definitely turnd out a lot better than the red one. And I definitely think this is a very cool craft for kids to do.....just not my kid:o)

Playing Outside

at Tuesday, October 18, 2011

Tuesday, October 18, 2011

I figured this awning was a must have for Whidbey and although it's a beautiful, sunny day today, we got out for a little walk.

Then we came back and Caleb hopped on his bike and I pushed Amelia in the stoller around in the street.

This kid still will not peddle his bike. I think he's just a hair too short to extend his legs fully and so he just gets frustrated and walks as fast as he can so his bike goes as fast as we're walking:o)

Poor Amelia

at Monday, October 17, 2011

Monday, October 17, 2011

This is how things have been going at the Capps household lately. Caleb is starting to get rougher with Amelia, but she is taking it like a trooper. I like how at the end of this (sideways) video, he just stands over her:o) She never even cried.

Stuck Inside

at Sunday, October 16, 2011

Sunday, October 16, 2011

Amelia's had a runny nose for the last week and it's turned nasty green the last three days, so we've stayed inside so that she can get well. Needless to say, we are all going a little stir crazy. We have pulled out all of the toys in hopes of seeing something different that will spark our interest.

Caleb started Air Jerusalem while playing with the manger. I guess he decided the shepherds should be able to get on a plane instead of walking all that way:o)

Tomorrow we have school (we'll see if Amelia's well enough to go) and they have school pictures. Hopefully we can get one of Caleb without his tongue in his nose:o)

Snowsuit

Amelia got a new snowsuit.

And there she goes!

Bye Bye Camera

at Wednesday, October 12, 2011

Wednesday, October 12, 2011

I've dropped the camera one too many times and since I purchased the extended warranty, I figure I'd better use it to get it fixed. Tomorrow I'll be dropping it off to Best Buy and they'll be sending it to Sony. (Who knows how long this process will take).

So, say goodbye - for a short period of time - to the slimey drool pictures...

...Say goodbye to these sweet blue eyes...

...Say goodbye to the overly excited wide open mouth grins...

(I think she's just as excited to not have the camera in her face as Caleb is:o)

Pray that I get the camera back quickly, because I am not a good phone camera picture taker.

Before Bedtime

at Tuesday, October 11, 2011

Tuesday, October 11, 2011

I can never give Amelia a bath without Caleb wanting to hop in too.

Amelia doesn't mind though.

I'm pretty sure this hairstyle is totally in right now....(oh, my model son:o)

After fresh pj's, they hopped into bed to read a few books. How sweet, Caleb's going to read her a book...if she doesn't get to it first.

HEY, MELIA!!

He figured he'd be better off reading in his chair.

Mom, I'm starting to get tired.

No, seriously...I'm ready for bed!

And after all that fighting over books and tormenting of baby sisters, we still managed a "cheese" picture.

Pumpkin Patch

at Monday, October 10, 2011

Monday, October 10, 2011

Saturday turned out to be another great day on Whidbey Island and since Shawn's leaving for a couple of weeks, we wanted to get a pumpkin before left.

Don't you just love how his picture with the kids is really cute....and then the picture with me looks like this......:o)

Enough of that. It's time to find a pumpkin!

Surveying the patch before making his choice.

This one looks good.

Next up is Amelia.

I like all of these, mom.

Ok, maybe this little bitty one is better.

Happy Fall, Y'all!
