Amelia finally gets to wear this cute little owl onesie Aunt Daphne (and Uncle Cody) got her for Christmas.
I thought I'd write a few things about what they are both up to right now.
Amelia
Boo-ah = Book or bird
Bah = Ball
If you say, "where's the airplane", she'll look up for one.
She's really into biting things and will look at you while she's doing it.
(i.e. the couch, clothes, toys, and people:o)
She won't point to her nose, but she will wipe it when you give her a Kleenex and tell her to do so.
She needs to have whatever she's eating in each of her hands.
(i.e. bananas in each hand, toast in each hand, cheese in each hand - I don't know why).
Still refuses to walk on her feet, but will walk everywhere on her knees.
Can drink out of a cup. (Caleb was always horrible at this)
Caleb
Pretty much shoots everything.
(He holds his arm straight out with his hand in a fist and makes a shooting sound - is this a boy thing?)
Would rather pee on "the" tree in the backyard then go in the toilet.
(He specifically pees on the same tree every time).
Has found the phrase, "because I want to", to be his new favorite thing to say.
Never wants to nap, just says "relax on the couch and watch a movie".
Will be doing things and then say, "I can do this all day mom", like he's some kind of pro at it.
Because I want to story.....two night ago Caleb is yelling at me from the bathroom that he needs help. I encourage him to try on his own and then I'll come help, but he then tells me that he's all wet. So I tell him to take off his pull-up and I'll grab him a new one. He proceeds to yell some more that he needs help. So, I go in there, his pants are off in the corner, the toilet seat is not even opened and there is pee all over the floor. And I mean a lake - how much has this kid been drinking. I tell him to get out, throw the clothes out, move the potty chair (that he never uses) and the trash can out and get some towels and Lysol scrubbing wipes. I get it all cleaned up and go out and ask him what in the world happened. I said, "Caleb why did you pee all over the floor?" He follows that by, "because I wanted to." I made him put his nose in the corner for that and finished scrubbing the floor before I went back to get him I told him to come here and asked him again why he did that. I said, "could you not get your pants down fast enough ( I knew that wasn't true, they were off in the corner, remember). I was really just trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. He stands in the doorway, with his hand on the trim, does his little mischievous face, where his nose crinkles up and he said, "Because I wanted to!" Off to bed he went. It was 6:15.
Yesterday, somehow dripped yogurt on the table and thought using his yogurt cup as a stamp putting yogurt marks all over the table would be fun. I asked him what he thought he was doing and why he did it and I proceeded to get the same answer..."because I wanted to". I threw the entire yogurt away, which threw him into a fit of rage and screaming and crying, which landed him in the corner again and no more food for the rest of the morning.
THREE IS FUN!!
