Taylor Swift Fan Club

I've been meaning to get a few videos on here for awhile, but I never have the time to wait for them to upload. I decided to do it tonight since some of you have been asking for some sound.I will admit, I am a Taylor Swift fan and just bought her latest cd.

It seems that Caleb is pretty hip on her too:o)

Hump Day

"Baby it's cold outside..." Well, at least it looks cold outside. It is rainy, so we are staying in. The thought of staying in the house one more day bores me, but the thought of dragging a carseat and toddler around in the rain is even less enticing. So, we'll stay in and play.

I'm afraid Amelia isn't going to get to wear all of her winter baby clothes since it's going to start getting warm here, so as usual, we are playing a little dress up today:o)

We received this little fellow in the mail yesterday. I was informed that it was annoying, but that Adarrah loved it. Caleb on the other hand...not so excited about it!

Caleb got out this little doll for Amelia to play with and she was smiling and making all kinds of noises at it. It was pretty cute.

And then Caleb took it back and decide to see if she had "pooped" (yes, he lifted her dress and smelled her - like I do Amelia - to make sure she hadn't). Then he decided to rock her a bit. This kid cracks me up!

3 Months Old

Today I am 3 months old!!

I am smiling all the time!

I am even laughing, although it mostly sounds like I'm coughing.

I am talking more and more.

I still love to watch my brother and will smile at him whenever he talks to me.

I don't like to eat when I first get up in the morning. I'm more interested in talking and playing and smiling before breakfast.

I am starting to like my bottle a lot more, but will still only take around 2 ounces .

I am not swaddled anymore when I go to bed.

I hate when the car is not moving, I hate when the stroller is not moving, I hate when the cart at the store is not moving...so basically, I like to be on the move.

I love to be outside and I still love bathtime.

Caleb's new favorite song isn't Amazing Grace, it's now "Amelia Grace, how sweet the sound."

I am wearing 0-3 months clothes now, but they're still a little big.

I have found that sucking my thumb is a good thing.

I like to watch Wrigley walk around me.

Mommy, Daddy and Caleb are starting to have alot more fun with me now.

She's Still Happy

Since so many of you were worried about Lil' Missy crying....I thought I'd show you the photos that I took before the scream-fest. I just thought the mad photos would be a change from the normal smiley ones:o) I guess I won't do that anymore.

Can We Say Allergies

Let's start with Thursday night....Caleb woke up around 9:30 with a horrible croupy cough. He was crying everytime he coughed, like it hurt him. So Friday morning we got up and went to the doctor. Of course, his chest was clear and he had stopped coughing. No more coughing that day, but an endless runny nose. Saturday he woke up and when we took off his pjs, this is what we saw.

He was covered in hives. Mostly all over his stomach and back, but randomly on his legs and arms. We called the doctor and he said to just give him Benadryl. The medicine definitely helped, but at the 4 hour mark, they were back again. So, we kept giving him the Benadryl. Same thing yesterday, but they moved from all over his lower body to his face and head.

This morning they were pretty much just on his legs and feet, so ....we ventured out again to visit the doctor. She gave him some Claritin to see if that helps (and it won't make him drowsy). We're to give that to him for a week and see if he has anymore reactions. I think it's seasonal allergies since the pollen count has gone sky high here and I've been a mess too. But it was still a scary couple of days (for mom at least:o) But don't worry, it didn't keep him from being his old self.

Spring In North Carolina

Blossoming cherry trees...

blooming Japanese maples (apple trees, not shown)...

and budding hydrangeas...

lead to lots of yellow pollen flying through the air, sticking to anything and everything it lands on,

causing itchy eyes, sneezing, coughing, and headaches. I love to see that spring has arrived, but I hate the way it makes me feel.

Perfect NC Weather!

Yesterday was hot, but today was perfect!! It got to about 82 yesterday with no breeze. Today is about the same but with the wind blowing anywhere from 10 to 20 miles and hour. Perfect!! And what made this day even more perfect is that both kids have slept ALL night the last two nights. And by ALL night I mean, from 7pm - 7am!!! That's right, Amelia has done this too! I hope this is something she plans on doing everynight:o) I love my sleep!

Well, when we went to get her up this morning, this is what we found. Her head is usually where I am standing. She had turned herself around and got her arm out of the swaddle. (We're only swaddling one arm right now, but going to try to completely unswaddle her this weekend).

After running a few errands it was time to play outside.

Then Caleb informed me that he was going to take a nap and proceeded to lay down on the step:o)

I guess he wasn't too tired, because then he was off to jumping off his slide....over and over and over again.

He kept checking on Amelia to make sure she was alright. She loved being outside!

And since she was now asleep, it was time for some lunch.

We brought our lunch outside and enjoyed this beautiful day....

and Wrigley waited patiently for someone to drop some food - or throw him a little turkey (don't tell Shawn I did that:o)

Lazy Monday Morning

Good Morning, Amelia!

I just happened to catch Wrigley trying to eat Caleb's Twizzler.....I'm pretty sure he licked it, so I threw that one out and gave him a new one:o)

(Mind you, he already threw a toy screwdriver earlier in the morning that hit her directly on her forehead.)

See that thumb sticking out? Well, she's figured out she can suck it!! Yeah! She won't take a pacifier, so I'm hoping that thumb will help. She's only sucked it a couple of times and it's so stinkin' cute!Here's Caleb's salute.
