Busy Weekend

We had another great weekend. We started it out by going to the old Decatur 4H Fair. It's been forever since I've been there and I got to see a few friends from high school. Caleb wasn't too sure about the rides, but he was a trooper as he and Adarrah rode a few of them. Aunt Holly showing him the sheep.

Interested in the animals.

Then it was off to the Great Wolf Lodge. My parents, sister, niece and Caleb and I all enjoyed playing in this awesome indoor waterpark for two days.

A stay in this hotel wouldn't be complete without doing a little magic.

Here's Caleb and Adarrah's "cabin" for the night.

At night they read a bedtime story down by the tree. Don't we look exhausted after swimming all day?!

8 Years and Counting

On June 23rd, 2002, I walked down the aisle to marry this man. I thought I would be nervous to take the plunge, but when the doors opened and I saw him at the front of the church, all I saw was my future. Since then, we have lived all across the country, taken wonderful vacations, started a family and grown in our love. I never thought it would be possible to love him more than the day I married him, but when you face everyday hardships and joys, the love grows beyond measure.
Shawn, I love you more today than in all the years we've been together.
Happy Anniversary, babe!

Here He/She Is

I had my first doctors appointment today and was lucky enough to get an ultrasound. I am measuring right on schedule (10 weeks on Sunday) and the baby is looking good. I actually lost a pound...I'm not sure how that happened because I've been eating like crazy, but I'm pretty sure won't have any problem putting it on in the second and third trimester. I'm planning on being back in NC for my appt. next month and then, can you believe it, the following appointment should be when we can find out what we're having.......we're still undecided whether we want to find out or not. All we care is that we have a healthy baby!

We found a way to beat the heat yesterday at Aunt Patti's pool. Caleb had a great time with Adarrah and Uncle Cody, or "CoCo", as he calls him.

OUR BLOG BOOK!

I have to give a huge THANK YOU to my cousin-in-law for telling me about blog2print!!! I've been looking for a way to print out my blogs so that I won't lose them. I am not a scrapbooker and I thought I'd be better a putting stuff into Caleb's baby book. But when she told me about this website, my prayers were answered. I logged on and started editing my book. I edited it so that it only contains my posts from when I was pregnant with Caleb to his first birthday.
Today I recieved Caleb's Blog Book! I am so pleased with how it turned out and so glad Ashley found this website. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

And in case you're wondering how much all of this cost...there's a price difference between hardback and softback and how many pages your book contains. My book is 250+ and hardback. I took an online survey, which saved me 15% and I opted for the cheapest shipping they offered. Total = $90.85. I think it was so worth it!!

Strawberry Pickin'

at Thursday, June 10, 2010

Thursday, June 10, 2010

I thought it would be fun to pick some strawberries this morning before it got hot. We drove to the fields, got our (2) baskets and then Caleb started crying......he wouldn't walk out to where the strawberries were, so I carried him. Then he picked about 5 strawberries and starting whining some more. He kept putting his arms up for me to carry him and when I told him I wouldn't he sat down in the mud. I made him get up and then he just stood there crying some more. So, with one 3/4 full basket, I figured we were done. I told him we had to walk back and took his hand to help him along. I should have known he would want me to carry him again, so he just fell down crying and I drug him along (not really drug, but I thought about it). This went on until we got back to the dirt road. I finally had to carry him and our two baskets back to the stand to pay for them.......let's just say this strawberry pickin' adventure didn't turn out to be as fun as I thought it would be.

Time at Home

We are having a good time at home with family. The weather the past few days has been wonderful and Caleb would spend all day outside if he could.
He's checking out Papaw's tomato plants.

I love the squinty eye.

Riding daddy's old horse.

Look at Caleb's belly sticking out.

Where's Wrigley?

And this is my favorite picture of all. Caleb gave Popo his "action figure" and he fell asleep.
