Due to the recent kennel cough outbreak here in Craven County, my crazy dog is unable to go to doggie day play until May 8th.
(How in the heck did I catch him in mid-flip-your-ears-around mode?!)

Yesterday was the first time Caleb almost rolled from his back to his stomach. He only did it a few times, but I was lucky enough to get the first one. I almost didn't put this video on here because I got way too excited! It's ok, you can laugh at me!

A howling beagle in the backyard isn't always a bad thing....he may be warning you there's a snake lurking around.
Just so you know, I did NOT take this picture.....I was cowaring on the porch yelling at Wrigley to "come"!! And just so you know, I looked up this black snake and I'm pretty sure it's a Rat Snake, which is common in this area and most importantly, non-venomous!

The deacon of our Sunday school class invited us all over for a cookout. The weather was beautiful (although it did get to 91 degrees, so the shade was much needed) and the setting was just as wonderful.
This is their backyard...on the golf course...nice!
Love those blue eyes!

We started giving Caleb a little taste of cereal on Friday night. He's not quite sure what to do with it yet.

I thought I'd add a few more of my favorite pictures from a couple of days ago. I plan on getting a blog makeover here shortly since Caleb has been "seeing his dad" for the past 5 or 6 weeks now.
We don't have much planned for this weekend, but know it's going to be beautiful! Hopefully we can get some great outdoor pictures.

It's hard to believe that three years have already passed.
Somedays it seems like yesterday.
Somedays it seems like 100 years.
Most days it stills feels like a dream.
I am so glad we decided to make Brady's birthday a fun day by donating toys to sick children. I cannot take credit for this idea. But, I'm glad I read about another family starting this tradition when they're little boy was stillborn. What better way to remember his life and make other children happy!
The cards went out yesterday for Brady's 3rd birthday. Since this is the third year we've done this, we assume everyone would know what to do. But, we didn't want there to be any confusion so that's why I am writing this post. If you are in Indy, you can talk to my parents or Shawn's parents and see when they are donating their toys and deliver yours to them before that date. If you are near us, we will probably be taking ours to the children's hospital in Greenville May 9th. If you are somewhere else and would like to participate...any hospital will do.
It means so much to us that you join in this tradition with us each year!

Just in case you missed our first
boating adventure....we decided to try it again.
(We definitely left before the tide went out, that's for sure!)
We got out to Shackleford Beach and set up camp.
Caleb isn't too fond of his lifevest.
And wouldn't you know it, as soon as we got out there, we saw a
wild horse less than 100 yards from us.
It was a little cold on the way out there and a bit breezy on the beach, so we had him bundled up most of the day.
And napping on the beach isn't very easy, so dad had to take a walk.
The guys decided to test just how fast The Larsons' new boat would go.
I finally got my toes in the sand!
But I'm not too happy about it!

Do not be fooled....what you can't see is the other 90% which was up his back and still in his diaper!
This is what happens when he hasn't pooped in 4.5 days.
Needless to say, mom had to clean it up because dad was at work.....I'm sure he was thankful!

I love when daddy gives me a bath.
