Last night we colored eggs on the back porch.
(Notice Wrigley trying to get in on the action:o)
We made a fire, made some mac and cheese and roasted up some hot dogs afterwards.
This morning Caleb came into the bathroom and asked me what all that stuff was downstairs. I said what stuff and he said all that stuff and the shooter-thing.
I took these a couple of weeks ago, thinking that the morning of pictures never turn out as well as I'd like.
We headed to church and stayed for the Easter egg hunt afterwards.
Amelia filled her basket and Caleb brought home one!
After church, Dad gave Caleb his first lesson with the bow and arrow (or shooter-thing, if you want to call it that).
Then we were off to spend this absolutely beautiful day with a group of our friends. After a delicious meal, we head to the soccer field for another Easter egg hunt. What a beautiful backdrop!
This time Caleb actually filled his basket full of eggs and other goodies.
Caleb and Amelia with their friends, Emma and Sheppard (Baby Sophie and Baby Molly too little to run around yet).
It was another gorgeous day and I love that Caleb is getting old enough to actually share what this day really means for all of us. That it's not just about the candy and eggs and presents. That just like the "empty egg" and hollow roll (Resurrection Rolls they made at school), the tomb is also empty because Jesus lives and we have been saved!!
Happy Easter!
