Bath Time

at Tuesday, February 24, 2009

Tuesday, February 24, 2009

I always feel bad if I don't get new pictures of Caleb on here for everyone to see each day. But the truth is, we really aren't that exciting! So, here's a few pics from our bath tonight.

I think I can get both of my fists in my mouth at once!
What the heck kind of noise if she making at me now?!
If my fists are purple, mom, you should probably get me out of the water.
Ok seriously....I'm ready to get out!
(I just liked all the ripples he was making with his cute little feet....and that both of his big toes were stiking out of the water).

Sunday Best

at Sunday, February 22, 2009

Sunday, February 22, 2009

Everyone keeps telling me they never get to see pictures of me anymore. I decided the best time to take one was when I was ready for church.
I was wanting to try to take "professional" (as best as I can do) pictures of Caleb, so I went to Walmart and bought a $12 black sheet and a $12 white sheet for my background. They still may not be professional, but they don't look half bad.
(Pay no attention to the dog hair on the black sheet.
And pay no attention to Caleb flipping you off in the 3rd picture down:o)

It starts out as all fun and games....
Then he starts getting upset once I put him on his stomach.
Now he's just plain mad!

Do all kids get this mad at tummy time?

Facelift

at Tuesday, February 17, 2009

The reason I'm not that creative is because I have very talented friends!
My friend, Beth, who has made all of the beautiful cards you've received over the years, has given our blog a facelift....and a pretty great one, I must say!
Thank you so much, Beth! I love it!

Just Another Wednesday

at Wednesday, February 11, 2009

Wednesday, February 11, 2009

I realized I need to wear Wrigley out during the day so he will sleep at night. (He is not sleeping well through the night, which means I am not sleeping well through the night). We took him on a 2 mile walk on base today. I remembered they have a dog park, so we parked at the BOQ (bachelor officer's quarters - for those of you non-military) and walked to the park. Then two large dogs came and he wasn't too excited about that, so we walked back. I don't know who's going to be more tired, Wrigley or me! It was supposed to be a bit warmer today and we probably shouldn't have taken a walk with wind gusting to 40 miles an hour....but it was good to get out. We'll be doing that alot more. My skinny clothes will be thanking me!

14 Years and Counting

at Monday, February 09, 2009

Monday, February 9, 2009

If someone would have told me 14 years ago that I would be married to this clown, I would have told them they were crazy!

And little did I know, he'd be wear camouflage (or a flight suit) everyday to work.

Yes, Shawn and I officially became "boyfriend and girlfriend" on February 10th, 1995.
(Although, he doesn't look that excited about it in this picture, does he?)

We went to our Junior prom together. Don't we look great!
That red tux is classic!

And how ironic is it that we got married at postprom?!
(Don't you love the jean shorts and Sambas!)
Then there was Senior prom.
We had already gotten married at postprom the year before, so we didn't have to do it again:o)
Shawn went off to OCS and decided to become a Marine.
(Don't I wish I was that skinny today!)
We had to be apart while he was at TBS.
I think that was just preparing us for being apart now.
Then there was our wedding. How I loved that day!
Now we're just an old married couple who has had the privilege of experiencing this beautiful country.
Sharing in joys.
(Like going to a Notre Dame football game! That was a joy for me at least.)
Realizing what it means to be away from family and our Indiana home.
Sharing in sorrows.
(One of them being, moving away from Whidbey Island!)
Carrying each other through tough times.
And now getting to experience what it means to parent our children.
When you're with your best friend, the one you love with all your heart...
14 years doesn't seem that long!
I love you, Shawn! See you soon!!
