Sword Fighting In The Rain

at Wednesday, April 30, 2014

Wednesday, April 30, 2014

Today we went to The Cromwell's to play and have dinner.  Once the rain stopped, we sent them outside to play, but since it was so wet, they got soaked in minutes….which led to taking their clothes off….which is more fun anyway!
After a couple of spills in the mud puddles, a quick shower got them clean enough for a dip in the "pool" as Caleb called it.  (Undies on, of course:o)
We're going to be trying to get in as much "Cromwell" time as we can before they move in just a few weeks.  We are going to miss them!

First T-Ball Game

at Tuesday, April 29, 2014

Tuesday, April 29, 2014

The threat of rain and severe thunderstorms kept us on pins and needles all day.  But, the weather held out and Caleb was able to play his first game.  He was so excited!
His first 'at bat'.  I posted a video of it on Facebook (since I am unable to post them here).

They only play two innings, which took exactly one hour.
 His second 'at bat'.
So, you're telling me to run that way, to the next base?
 Made it to second.
 Running to third.
 Running home!

He told me he was going to act like he was catching the ball in this picture:o)
On the way home he asked me if he could wear his shirt to bed.  I told him yes and he got so excited.  Then he told me he was going to wear his hat too.  I told him it wouldn't be very comfortable, so he opted not to.  When we got into bed, he told me he was number 4 and asked how many more days until he got to play again.
I think it's say to say he loves baseball!

Dusk In The Backyard

at Saturday, April 26, 2014

Saturday, April 26, 2014

Our backyard is full of beautiful azaleas and the light was so perfect.  I ran in the house, grabbed my camera and started snapping.

Photo taken by Caleb.  Not too shabby.
Photo taken by Amelia.  Caleb wouldn't play along.
And because I knew they wouldn't give me one good photo of them together, I opted for funny faces instead.

First T-Ball Practice

at Wednesday, April 23, 2014

Wednesday, April 23, 2014

Last night was Caleb's first t-ball practice.  He was excited about it all day (when he wasn't riding his bike:o)  and kept saying afterwards, how much he loved it!

 Fielding the ball.
Throwing it to first….only, the first baseman isn't even looking.
 Amelia found some friends.
And then Caleb decided to just watch Amelia and her new friends play (see him looking the opposite direction as the rest of the team:o).
I think this season is going to be pretty amusing!  His first game is next Tuesday and we can't wait!

Easter Weekend

at Tuesday, April 22, 2014

Tuesday, April 22, 2014

We spent Easter weekend in Indiana and although we wish it would have been longer, we had a great time.
The biggest news of all……
Caleb learned how to ride a bike without training wheels!!
We are so excited!  Thanks to big cousin, Adarrah, for helping him learn!
After lots of riding, we colored some eggs.
Amelia got her nails painted by Aunt Holly.
 Elliott played a little baseball.

The kids were able to spend some time with their great grandparents. I love Zeke's face in this one!
We had an Easter egg hunt.

Then we went for a little hike.
And attempted a few family photos.

We went back to The Capps Mansion for a little cookout, which turned out to be a surprise 30th birthday party for Holly!!

 Happy Easter!
After church it was off to another family get together and another Easter egg hunt.
The kids with Great Grandma Purichia.
 The kid table.  I love Delaney's face:o)
Silly bunnies!
1st Annual Easter hat parade.
Caleb and Delaney pushing over a tree.  Why, I'm not sure.

Then it was off to another family get together…..and you guessed it…..another Easter egg hunt.

After being on the road for 15 hours yesterday and running around non stop for the last four days, we are all pooped.  Shawn heads to Key West tomorrow and Caleb has his first T-Ball practice tonight.  No rest for the weary.
We are so glad we got to see you all this weekend!
We miss you already!
