Catching Up

I am way behind on updating the blog.  It's just so easy to post them from my phone onto Facebook these days, that I honestly forget to do it.  So, I'm going to try to get things caught up and they may be a little out of order.
Amelia lost another tooth, just in time for school picture day.
We went to the kids school fall festival.
We attended the base chapel's Trunk or Treat.
Amelia's first costume backfired, so dad hooked her up with a skeleton for the night.

She found another costume just in time for Halloween night.
We headed to the base where the kids' school is located for their Trunk or Treat and then to walk base housing.  They got lots of candy and saw lots of their friends.  It was a great Halloween in Okinawa.
Halloween is still new to Okinawans.  They do have some things out in their stores to buy (decorations, party ware and candy), but nothing like in the US.  We made up candy bags to pass out to the kids in the apartments across the street and for the kids that get onto the Japanese buses at our bus stop.  They were all very excited and grateful for them.  The kids across the street even brought us bags of Japanese snacks back from their pantries :o). Some of them were good, others, not so much.  But, we are trying to do small things that will allow us to get to know them better.

oh I just love the kids' costumes! Delaney was so worried on Halloween night that Caleb and Amelia wouldn't get to trick or treat in Okinawa :-). Can't wait to show her these pictures!
