We've passed this place a handful of times and decided to try it one Friday night.  There are even shrubs planted into the side of the hill across the street that says "Malibu Hills".  I'm not sure they've got it right:o).
The inside was full of movie posters, some in Japanese and some in English.  The decor was straight out of the 70's and 80's.
And...we were the only ones in the place.  We probably should have taken that as a sign, but we decided to stay. While the food was subpar...
 The view was pretty nice.

The next day we went to the mall because it was pouring rain and the baseball games were cancelled.  I learned that not only is it customary to take your shoes off when you walk into someone's home, it is also recommended you take your shoes off at fitting rooms. (Amelia calls these my grandma shoes)

Last weekend, Caleb had a night game under the lights.  It was so nice to not be out in the sun and heat.  I even commented to Shawn that it even felt nice out.  I then looked at my weather app only to find out that it still felt like 90 degrees out.  Lol!
Amelia got to try out her catching skills on Saturday morning.  Look at that form!  She's ready!

On almost every street corner there is a convince store.  The two most popular are Family Mart and Lawson.

You can get almost anything at these stores.  We walked to the bus stop on Monday night to time it for school and then we stopped in Family Mart for a drink.  I was looking at the magazines and books and found three that I bought.  One was for all of the parks and (toddler) kid friendly cafes.  One was for home decor (I think) and the third one was for cafes across the island.  They're all in Japanese so I have to Google Translate them to find out where they are.
We found a park that was about 15 minutes north and we headed there yesterday before the heat hit.  It was pretty awesome.  Great park, zipline, water misters, walking track, another walking path, open grass field and baseball diamond.  There are so many great parks here!
School starts next Monday, so we are trying to find fun things to do during our last week together.  Monday we headed to Kadena to swim at their pool.  They have a new slide, which has three slides!

We had planned on going to the Dino Park and a cafe for lunch today, but Amelia woke up stuffy and a fever.  So, we'll let her rest so that she can get better. Tomorrow we find out which teacher the kids will have and who will be in their class.  They're hoping for friends from their baseball teams.  Friday we can take our school supplies into their classrooms and meet their teacher.  It's hard to believe school is already here!
