Torii Beach and Sushi Go Round

Torii Beach is actually on the Army base here.  Once a month they open it up and allow the locals to come visit it.  This day they had food trucks and bouncy houses.  We decided to just enjoy the beach though and forego the other activities. My camera just cannot capture the colors of the water here.  It is so beautiful!

We love finding seaglass and found some great ones at Torii Beach.  We even found a blue marble (marble sea glass is coveted here!) and a piece of purple sea glass, which is also rare (it is next to the marble, but you can't see the color that great).
Everyone keeps talking about the "sushi go rounds" so we decided to try one out.  You have a touch screen at your table where you can look at their menu.  You then begin to pick what you want.  You can only pick 5 items at a time, then you place your order.  Once they're made it will come around to you on the conveyor belt.
This is where we messed up. We weren't sure how to know what was ours when it came around.  We thought we were supposed to look for a 35, signifying our table number, but no, our food passed us by.  We had to find a waitress to ask for help.  She had to bring our first 5 items out to us.  After ordering our next 5 items, we paid better attention.  The screen beeps at you and then tells you that your items are approaching your table - with a picture of the item, so you know what to look for.  I'm not sure how we didn't figure that out the first time, but we got it right after that.
Everything on the menu is super cheap.  Almost all plates are 100 yen.  We ended up with about 20 plates, which meant we only spent about $20!
Here we are searching the menu.
 Picking our items
Here are a few of the plates that passed by us (we didn't NOT order this!)

As you can see, in perfect English, our screen is telling us our food is arriving.
 Grabbing our food!
It really was one of the best dinner experiences we've had.  Not because the food was great, but because it was so much fun!
